Nestopia is a Nintendo NES emulator for Mac OS X. Nestopia is by far the about compatible of any NES emulator for Mac OS X. Using cycle-exact emulation, it is able to go titles that rely on precise timing, and which therefore break under other emulators. It supports five redundant sound chips and an astonishing 143 mappers. This accurate emulation comes at a cost; Nestopia requires an 800MHz machine for wide speed; but if you have one, this the outdo available NES emulation for Mac. Nestopia was initially developed for Windows by Martin Freij. The original sources may be downloaded from the Nestopia dwelling page. The toolkit used to acquire the Macintosh port, including the bridge code to colligate it to Nestopia, will be available in the longer term from my developer pages. Certain portions are available directly, and more will be added in the future. Further information is also available from the enclosed Read Me file. What's New: Version 1.1.2: Added support for Game Genie codes. Added support for .zero files. Added "Trim Border Area" option.
